Changes in weather-climate conditions over the past decades have forced many cultivars to lose their economic and biological values, which necessitates conducting a detailed and comprehensive study of cultivars reaction to the changing environmental conditions. The absence of pear cultivars that would possess a set of economically valuable features and properties leads to a reduction in the production areas occupied by this valuable crop. In this connection, it is extremely important to study these cultivars on the grounds of their resistance to specific climatic conditions in cultivation sites. The paper assesses the degree of pear cultivars adaptability to specific conditions of the foothills. The cultivars with the best biological potential and the most adapted to weather-climate features of the region were selected.
