The paper presents some study data on the bioecological features in Jerusalem thorn species (Paliurus spina-christi Hill.) and the large-leaved buckthorn (Frangula grandiflora Fisch.et C.A. Mey) in Apsheron. The study of seed propagation showed that, compared with spring sowing, good seed germination was observed in the autumn period. There were identified terms and optimal depth of seeds sowing for each plant species. On the basis of the obtained data, it was established that under Apsheron conditions, the studied species have a normal growth and development and can be recommended for use in landscaping works.
