PROBLEMS OF THE ORGANIZATION OF GREEN PLANTINGS PROTECTION SYSTEM IN RESORT REGIONS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF SOCHI)

In plantations of Sochi, there is a dangerous phytosanitary situation caused by the emergence and propagation of some dangerous plant pests and threatening the loss of a number of tree species in the plantings until they collapse. Based on the experience in protection system organization, the paper identified factors that reduce the effectiveness of protective measures. They are the following: mosaic of land owners, bans on processing of specially protected natural areas and water protection zones, mass import of large-sized planting material, lack of municipal nurseries, high cost of effective measures of individual plant protection and a number of others.
