The paper is devoted to the study of morphogenesis of 9 species (Opuntia engelmannii Salm-Dyck, Op. humifusa Raf., Op. maxima Mill., Cereus forbesii (L.) Mill., Mammillaria crucigera Mart.&Otto, Melocactus violaceus Pfeiff., Parodia mammulosa (Lem.) N.P. Taylor var. Orthacanthus, P. erinacea (Haw.) N.P. Taylor, Astrophytum capricorne (A. Dietr.) Br.&R.) from Cactaceae Juss. family on the juvenile stage of development in protected ground of Absheron. Studying the cycle of growth and development on the early stage of juvenile cactus plants gives us the opportunity to establish environmental influence on the formation of the vegetative organs of juvenile plants, which are necessary for their successful introduction into the culture of protected ground in dry subtropics.
