The paper presents a long-term (2005–2018) introduction study of 18 hydrangea cultivars (Hydrangea L.) from the collection of the South Ural Botanical Garden-Institute of Ufa Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which have reached a generative state. The aim of the work was to generalize introduction studies for the possible successful use of hydrangea cultivars in ornamental horticulture in the Bashkir Urals and adjacent territories. The data obtained on the study of the flowering duration of hydrangea cultivars in the Botanical Garden allow us to recommend them for use in continuous flowering gardens. The flowering duration of cultivars is 25–71 days. Winter hardiness in the studied cultivars is mainly I-II points. An assessment of ornamental qualities of the studied hydrangea cultivars made it possible to attribute them to I and II ornamental groups (highly ornamental and ornamental). Most of the studied hydrangea cultivars belong to the groups of highly promising and promising for cultivation in the conditions of the Bashkirian Cisurals.
