The paper presents the study of introduced dwarf bearded iris cultivars (‘Filippok’, ‘Deep Lavender’, ‘Bright White’, ‘Cherry Garden’, ‘Clash’, ‘Well Suited’, ‘Banbury Ruffles’, ‘Skip Stitch’, ‘Inscription’, ‘April Accent’, ‘Lace Caper’, ‘Double Lament’) introduced on the basis of the South-Ural Botanical Garden-Institute – Separate Structural Subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Ufa Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As a result of the phenological observations it was revealed that all studied irises were attributed to early flowering, except for ‘Skip Stitch’, – the beginning of flowering was observed in May. The duration of flowering phase ranged from 10 (‘Inscription’) to 27 (‘Lace Caper’) days. It was found that in the forest – steppe zone of Bashkiria Cis-Ural Region half of the studied cultivars undergo a full cycle of development: they bloom and bear fruits, the rest – are limited to flowering. According to the evaluation of ornamental qualities in the studied irises, they received 90 or more points. On the basis of the assessment it was found that the studied cultivars are adapted for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone of Bashkiria Cis-Ural Region.
