The paper presents a long-term data of the Manchurian walnut (Juglans manshurica Maxim) growing in rural settlements of Khabarovsk region. Since 1990, the research work on the Manchurian walnut has been carried out on the lots with meadow-brown heavy loamy soil in Khabarovsk district. The agrotechnics of mini plantations creation was of the same type during these years. In order to assess the walnuts variability, 40 walnuts were selected from each tree. We measured: the width and length of the fruit, the mass of the fruit in the shell and the mass of the nut, the mass of the shell and kernel. Plants of the Manchurian walnuts have a great individual variability that permits to select the more productive trees with the high kernel content in nuts.
