The paper presents a long-term study of seasonal development rhythms for 35 Aconitum species from CIS countries, growing in Kiev and Kirovsk (Murmansk region). The special features of growth and development under cultivation conditions are found. It is stated that while introduced, many plants pass a complete cycle of growth and development, which indicates good adaptation abilities in Aconitum. The comparative study of growth conditions, season rhythms and ontogenesis of two plant ecotypes (foothills and high mountain) most typical for the mountain regions gave the possibility to determine optimal conditions for growing these plants under introduction.
