The paper studied the main ornamental features of Chrysanthemum × hortorum Bailey cultivars in the humid subtropics of Russia. Biometric characteristics of 15 large-flowered chrysanthemum cultivars and 15 small-flowered chrysanthemum cultivars were analyzed. In the group of large-flowered chrysanthemums, the average plant height is 111.3 cm with a peduncle height of 83.9 cm, the cultivars form from 2 to 3 peduncles. The greater number of peduncles was observed in the cultivars ‘Anastasia Pink’ and ‘Bigoudi Purple’ – 4, and in the control cultivar ‘Sevan’ – 5 peduncles. The average diameter of the inflorescences is 16.3 cm. In the group of small-flowered chrysanthemums, the average plant height is 117.0 cm with a peduncle height of 56.0 cm. The number of flower stalks is on average 9, cultivars ‘Zembla White’ and ‘Amber’ can form up to 20 flower stalks per season, the control cultivar ‘Zolotaya Niva’, ‘Harlequin’ and ‘Tigerrag’ are also characterized by high values of this indicator. The average diameter of the inflorescences in the group is 6.7 cm
