The paper presents a long-term comparison study of season rhythms in 43 Ranunculaceae Juss. and Paeoniaceae species from Mauntain Altai growing in the Kola North conditions (Kirovsk, Murmansk region). The special features of growth and development under the culture conditions were found. It was stated that within introduction, many plants pass a complete cycle of growth and development and bear fruit. Self-seeding was also recorded in new conditions for these plants. According to the comparative study of growth conditions, season rhythms and ontogenesis of two mostly contrasting ecotypes (foothill and high mountain) of one and the same species in the same initial culture conditions, it is possible to determine that Northern taiga conditions of the Khibiny mountains on Kola Peninsula are more consistent with plants of high-altitude habitats (highaltitude ecotype). Special features of growth and development of Altai species ex situ indicate the successful adaptation of these species to the conditions in the Kola Arctic.
