The results of a long-term comparison study of two ecotypes (foothills and high mountains) of Anemone narcissiflora subsp. crinita (Juz.) Kitag., the most typical for the Mountain Altai in Kirovsk (Murmansk region) are presented. The special features of seasonal rhythm, plants ontogenesis and seeds germination from these ecotypes under the conditions of culture were found. The comparative study of growth conditions in situ and ex situ, seasonal rhythms and ontogenesis of these ecotypes in the same conditions of initial culture, gave the possibility to determine that the conditions of the Altai highlands – the habitat of the studied plants are more consistent with the northern taiga conditions in the Khibiny Mountains of the Kola Peninsula. It was determined that during the introduction, narcissus anemone passes a complete cycle of growth and development, bearing fruit; seedling growth was also recorded. The peculiarities of growth and development for Altai plants of this subspecies ex situ indicate the successful adaptation of the majority to the conditions of the Kola Arctic. Recommendations for their propagation and cultivation are given.
