PHENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF NUT CROPS GROWN BY ADYGEI BRANCH OF FRC SSC OF RAS

The paper provides information about one of the focus areas within Adygei Branch of the Federal Research Centre the Subtropical Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences related to nut crops study. The institution has been engaged in this field since 1995. The objects of the study are 24 cultivars and 28 forms of common hazel (Corylus avellana L.), 18 forms of chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.), 11 forms of pecan (Carya illinoinensis (Wangenh.) K. Koch.) and 5 forms of walnut (Juglans regia L.) growing on the collection plots of the Adygei Branch, located in the foothills of the Republic of Adygea. As part of the research, phenological observations of nut crops were carried out in 2019 and in 2021. The paper provides information about the flowering and some features of the spring vegetation of the nut’s leaf plate.
