- dwarf Iris × hybrida hort. cultivars, decorative and biological features, flowering terms
The first long-term studies of dwarf Iris × hybrida hort. cultivars carried out in the collection of Nikitsy Botanical Garden revealed their decorative and biological features. A detailed description of flowers in the studied cultivars and the dates of their flowering beginnings are presented. This information gives landscape architects a possibility to use these cultivars purposefully both to design color compositions and to create longblooming ones by selecting cultivars with different flowering periods. Recommendations on the use of dwarf bearded iris cultivars in the landscape design throughout the Crimean resort area and areas with similar climatic conditions are presented.
